I (Kimberly Graydon) am a designer, photographer, and storyteller based on the east end of Long Island, NY. In true millennial fashion, I shoulder a combination of on-location and remote work. I’m a graduate of the Corcoran School of Art and Design at the George Washington University (magna cum laude, class of 2018).

My Story

I’ve lived in many places, but my OG home is Texas. Born in El Paso and raised in Dallas, I spent my formative Texas years developing a passion for photography and graphic design. I elected to study photojournalism at the Corcoran School of Art and Design at the George Washington University, uprooting my life and my passions to Washington, D.C. Though I did ultimately change my course of study to focus on graphic design, I still ground my work in photography and strong visual imagery. I’m thankful that design and photography go hand in hand, meaning that whatever I work on—and wherever I call home—I’ll be able to experiment with both of my passions. 

In my free time, I hire myself out as a freelance photographer and made-to-order knitter (visit @_kimberlyknits on Instagram to see my current and past projects). My other hobbies include binging TV shows, taking care of my plants, and exploring all that this big blue planet has to offer. 

I was an RA in college, so I’ve accumulated a strong collection of fun facts. Maybe that’s a fun fact in itself.

  • I’m only 5 feet tall, but nothing about my personality is small.

  • You can find me spending my summer weekends on the beach with some yarn and a good, crime-y audiobook.

  • My spark bird is a tie between an American Goldfinch and a Red-winged blackbird. I love songbirds and birds of prey, and I even keep a log of new birds I see.
